A couple who according to police were allegedly “fornicating” along a section of the Saucon Rail Trail in Hellertown borough last week have been charged with disorderly conduct, borough police said in a news release Monday.

According to police, at around 7:20 p.m. April 9 an anonymous caller reported that a couple–identified by police as a 21-year-old Hellertown woman and a 32-year-old Brooklyn man–was having sexual relations in the woods behind a Main Street business that is located south of the Walnut Street trail crossing.

Police said in the news release that when an officer arrived at the scene, he also found both individuals to allegedly be in possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, for which they are both charged.
