An eyewitness photo of the crash scene, taken shortly after the accident occurred at Easton Road and Leonard Street in Hellertown Saturday morning.
Fire crews and police were on the scene of a two-vehicle crash at Easton Road and Leonard Street in Hellertown borough shortly after 11 a.m. Saturday.
The accident occurred just outside St. Theresa of the Child Jesus church, where a funeral service was taking place.
From an eyewitness photo shared with Saucon Source, it appears the crash involved two vehicles: a silver SUV of unknown make/model and a silver, older model Honda Civic sedan.
In the photo, the sedan is partly over the curb and onto the sidewalk along the east side of Easton Road, across from the church.
The front end of the SUV appears damaged, with pieces of the vehicle laying in the street at the entrance to Leonard Street. The SUV is stopped partially in the southbound lane of Easton Road.
A number of bystanders appear to be speaking on their phones in the photo.
There’s no immediate word on whether anyone was injured in the crash or what caused the accident.
