A Lower Saucon Township woman is accused of assaulting a man and his 12-year-old son, as well as one of the police officers who responded to the alleged fracas at the Flint Hill Road home the three share Tuesday evening.
In a story published on Lehigh Valley Live Wednesday it was reported that Kimberly Ann Peart, 51, allegedly began breaking things and hitting the man after an argument began about Peart going into the boy’s room.
The news site reported that when the boy said he was calling police, Peart allegedly grabbed his wrist and pushed him onto a counter before he was able to call 911, and then kicked one of the responding officers in the leg.
According to online county court records Peart is charged with two misdemeanor counts of simple assault, one misdemeanor count of resisting arrest and one felony count of aggravated assault. She is also facing two citations for harassment.
Following a preliminary arraignment Tuesday before District Judge Richard H. Yetter III, Peart was committed to Northampton County Prison in lieu of $25,000 straight bail, the records state.
Peart’s preliminary hearing is scheduled to be held Friday, Sept. 20 at 9 a.m. before District Judge Alan Mege in District Court 03-2-04 in Lower Saucon Township, per court records.
