Peter ‘Pete’ J. Acevedo (1959 – 2024)
Peter “Pete” J. Acevedo, 65, of Hellertown, died Wednesday, May 8, 2024 at St. Luke’s Hospital, Anderson Campus.
He was the husband of Susan E. (Rau) Acevedo. Pete was born in Bethlehem on Feb. 7, 1959 to the late Pedro and Kathleen (Zawick) Acevedo. He was a sports fan, especially the San Francisco 49ers. He lived for the Huskies and his wife.
SURVIVORS
In addition to his loving wife of 46 years, he is also survived by his children: David (Vicki Williams) Rau of Albrightsville, Carmen (Eric Schaffer) Acevedo of Plains; brothers: Michael, David Acevedo, Pablin Rivera, all of Bethlehem; sisters: Bernadette Mendez of Bethlehem, Debra Pagan of Bayonne, N.J., Wilma Arenas of Yauco, P.R.; beloved dogs: Bella and Neeko; granddog: Gemma; grandchildren: David and Brenda Barber, Daniel Rau; great-granddaughter: Parker Seng. He was predeceased by great-granddaughter: Ryann Seng.
SERVICES
Family and friends are invited to call from 9 to 11 a.m. Sunday, May 12, 2024 at the Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., 326 Main St., Hellertown. The visitation period will be followed by the service at 11 a.m. A funeral repast will be held at the Carriage House at Heintzelmans immediately following the service.
