A jury has convicted a New Jersey man of sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl in Upper Saucon Township.

Spartak A. Fedorovich, 38, of Phillipsburg, Warren County, was found guilty Thursday of two counts of Involuntary Deviate Sexual Intercourse; three counts of Statutory Sexual Assault; and one count of Unlawful Contact with a Minor involving Sexual Offenses, all of which are felonies. He was also convicted of felony Aggravated Indecent Assault, Corruption of Minors and Endangering the Welfare of Children, along with misdemeanor Indecent Assault of a Person Less than 16.

Authorities began investigating the case in October 2022, when Upper Saucon Police were dispatched to a home in the township for a report of suspicious activity.

“An investigation revealed a 13-year-old girl had been meeting with Fedorovich in secret,” a news release from Lehigh County District Attorney Gavin Holihan’s office said. “The victim told law enforcement she had been in a sexual relationship with Fedorovich since age 12.”

Police said Fedorovich traveled from his home in New Jersey to Upper Saucon Township to sexually assault the girl at least 10 different times.

After Federovich was convicted, Lehigh County Judge Robert L. Steinberg revoked his bail and scheduled his sentencing for 9:30 a.m. Feb. 12.

Fedorovich’s jail sentence could range from 10 to 146 years in prison, the DA’s office said.
