A visit with their dentist may not be the first thing on everyone’s Christmas list, but the staff at Hellertown Dental Group are committed to helping make trips to the dentist as enjoyable as possible, during the holiday season and all year round.
Founded by Dr. Ann Hunsicker-Morrissey in 1989, over the past 35 years the practice at 1213 Main Street in Hellertown has grown to serve hundreds of patients from the Saucon Valley area and beyond. Dr. Ann is now supported by two other top-notch dentists–Dr. Kali Brong and Dr. Sandy Vu–along with a team of dozens of highly-trained, caring and compassionate dental hygienists, assistants and office staff.
As most patients can attest to, attention to detail in everything they do is important to everyone at Hellertown Dental Group, from Dr. Ann on down. That’s why everything possible is done to elevate patients’ experiences, which helps put them at ease from the moment they enter the practice.
Each Christmas the waiting room is festively decorated, with a tall tree serving as the centerpiece. This year’s tree is inspired by The Grinch, with whimsical, color-coordinated decorations that recall the classic tale of a sad and lonely beast who discovers the holiday’s true meaning thanks to the community he once shunned.
It’s a fitting theme, since a commitment to community involvement has always been at the heart of Hellertown Dental Group. This is evident from numerous special events the practice sponsors and participates in throughout the year.
Every October, Dr. Ann and her team give back to local heroes by participating in Freedom Day; a day when businesses around the country provide complimentary services to veterans. Over the years, HDG has provided free cleanings and other dental treatments to well over 100 men and women who have served our country.
After Halloween, the office sponsors a Toys for Treats candy trade-in program, and on Black Friday, Nov. 29, they are the proud Hot Cocoa & Cookie sponsor for the Hellertown-Lower Saucon Chamber of Commerce’s 2024 Light Up Night event in Hellertown’s Dimmick Park.
Other community activities in which HDG has participated are a food donation drive for a local shelter and Dental Lifeline; a program in which volunteer dentists provide comprehensive dentistry for adults with special needs.
