Stanley J. ‘Stosh’ Krycia (1944 – 2025)

Stanley J. “Stosh” Krycia, 80, of Lower Saucon Township, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, June 8, 2025. He was the beloved husband of Patricia J. (Lewis) Krycia, with whom he shared 56 years of marriage. Born in Allentown on Sept. 12, 1944, Stanley was the son of the late Felix and Sophie (Golinsky) Krycia. He spent 17 years working as a shift foreman at Mineral Fiber Specialists in Bethlehem, retiring in 2006. Prior to that, he dedicated 25 years of service to Bethlehem Steel. A devoted member of Incarnation of Our Lord Roman Catholic Church in Bethlehem, Stanley found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He cherished time with his grandsons, family and pets. He had a deep love for music and played guitar in a 1950s rock ‘n’ roll band called Collage. Known affectionately as “Captain Waterfront,” Stanley was an avid boater and fisherman. He also enjoyed tinkering with cars and boats, watching the History Channel and flying planes with his late brother, John.

SURVIVORS

In addition to his wife Patricia, Stanley is survived by his children: Scott M. Krycia (Melissa) of Bethlehem and Shelly E. O’Donovan of Jenkintown; his cherished grandsons: Colin, Finn and Liam; their father, Garret O’Donovan; and his niece and nephew: Susan Leraris and Michael Krycia. He was preceded in death by his brother, John.

SERVICES

Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation period on Saturday, June 14, 2025, from 9 to 10 a.m. at Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., 326 Main Street, Hellertown, which will be followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at Incarnation of Our Lord Roman Catholic Church, 617 Pierce St., Bethlehem. Interment will follow at Union Cemetery of Hellertown. A funeral repast will be held at The Carriage House at Heintzelmans immediately following the graveside service.
