Promenade Shops’ New Patio Area Will Host Events

The Promenade Shops at Saucon Valley this week is debuting a new patio area that will serve as a multi-faceted, year-round event and performance venue with seating.

The patio is located where the food court opposite the shopping center’s bowl fountain is located, near Barnes & Noble.

A grand opening celebration will take place Thursday, Nov. 1 from noon to 3 p.m., with a ribbon-cutting at 12:30 p.m. The first 100 attendees at the celebration will receive free YETI Rambler mugs.

Music from the cast of Southern Lehigh High School’s fall production of “Songs for a New World” will be performed at noon, with local musicians James Supra and Sarah Ayers performing from 1 to 3 p.m.

Various Promenade Shops restaurants and businesses such as Bar Louie and Learning Express Toys of Saucon Valley will also be offering samples and specials at the event, while supplies last. For more information about the deals, click here.

In other Promenade Shops’ news, the lifestyle center’s annual fall restaurant week will take place from Sunday, Nov. 4 through Thursday, Nov. 8. Participating restaurants include:

• Top Cut (Fine Dining) – Dinner menu only, Tuesday to Thursday only ($64)
• Melt, Torre, Kome Fine Japanese Cuisine and White Orchids Thai Cuisine – Lunch ($17) and dinner ($30) menus
• Bar Louie, Red Robin, Healthy You Cafe at Capital Blue – Lunch and dinner menus (various price points)

And for those who are looking to purchase gifts or perhaps something for themselves, a new business at The Promenade Shops opened this week.

Altar’d State sells women’s fashions, home decor and gifts with a spiritual twist.

The store is located in Suite 613, between Zales and Evolve Salon & Spa, in the Town Square area near Starbucks.

It will be open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., according to the Promenade Shops website.

The next major event scheduled to be held at The Promenade Shops is the annual Holiday Tree Lighting with a visit from Santa on Saturday, Nov. 24 from 5:30 to 9 p.m.
