One of the biggest events of the year in Saucon Valley will be held this Saturday, Aug. 16. Community Day in Hellertown is expected to draw hundreds of people to the borough’s Dimmick Park for fun, food and fellowship with friends and neighbors.

The day’s events will begin an opening ceremony at 9:45 a.m. Dozens of vendor and exhibit booths featuring local businesses, civic groups and nonprofit organizations will open at 10 a.m., and a live performance by the band Reservoir Hill will begin at 12 p.m. at the bandshell. Food and drink will be available for purchase from a number of vendors, and at the park pavilion.

Saturday will also be the last day of operation this season for the Hellertown Pool, which is across the street from the park.

The Community Day festivities will conclude at 3 p.m.
