Coopersburg Welcomes New Bagel Shop
An eatery specializing in New York-style bagels has opened in the Southern Lehigh area. Coopersburg Bagels & Deli opened Saturday, Aug. 16 at 565 E. Station Ave., which is just off Main Street in the borough’s downtown business district. The space was previously home to a Mexican restaurant, AD’s Kitchen.
A co-owner said business has been brisk since opening day. Several customers who were picking up orders around lunchtime Wednesday praised the bagels, which are currently being delivered from New York City. The business’s co-owner said bagels will be made fresh on the premises in the future.
The bagel shop’s menu includes bagels with plain or flavored cream cheese, omelets, baked goods, breakfast platters, breakfast sandwiches, hoagies, hot sandwiches, salads, burgers, wraps, hot and iced coffee, cappuccino, lattes, espresso, juices, smoothies and other beverages. Bagel varieties include plain, whole wheat, pumpernickel, everything, sesame, onion, jalapeno and cinnamon raisin. Kids and catering menus are also available. Table seating is available in an attached dining area.
Several posts about the new bagel shop have been shared in the Coopersburg Living Group on Facebook, with many commenters expressing excitement over the addition to the downtown restaurant scene.
Coopersburg Bagels & Deli is open Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. to 4 p.m., and from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. For more information or to order, call 484-863-9062. A website is currently under development, the owners said.
