Lucille I. Werkheiser (1939 -2025)

Lucille I. Werkheiser, 86, of Hanover Township, Northampton County, passed away peacefully on Friday, Dec. 19, 2025, at her residence. She was the loving wife of George E. Werkheiser, with whom she shared 65 years of marriage. Born in Coaldale on Jan. 22, 1939, Lucille was a daughter of the late Francis S. Pavlick and Catherine T. (Mikulka) Pavlick. She was a graduate of Marian High School and went on to graduate from Bethlehem Business School in 1957. Lucille was employed over the years by GMAC Allentown, the former Gutshall Chevrolet in Hellertown and Rock Hill Materials in Catasauqua. She was a member of the Lutheran faith and proudly served as Past Worthy Matron of the former Saucon Valley Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star.
SURVIVORS
In addition to her loving husband, she is survived by her children: Brian G. (Christine) Werkheiser of Red Hill, The Rev. Judith L. (Robert) Guasch of Mechanicsburg; her sister: Frances Ann L. (Andrew Robert) Soltis of Bethlehem; grandchildren: Andrew, Tara, Elizabeth and Rebecca; and four great-grandchildren.
SERVICES
Family and friends are invited to call from 1 to 2:15 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2025, at the Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., 326 Main St., Hellertown. The calling hour will be followed by the service at 2:15 p.m. Interment will be at Union Cemetery, Hellertown. A funeral repast will be held at the Carriage House at Heintzelmans following the interment. Online expressions of sympathy may be shared at Heintzelmancares.com.
