Door-to-Door Salespeople in Hellertown Must Have Permit from Borough

Did you know that door-to-door salespeople must obtain a permit from the borough--commonly known as a Peddlers and Solicitors license--before they start ringing doorbells, as well as adhere to other rules? Failure to do so can result in a fine of up to $1,000 or even jail time.

Panther Wrestlers Parade Past Salisbury (Brought to You By Spirk Brothers Inc.)

It was a quick night for Saucon Valley wrestling as they hosted the Salisbury Falcons on Tuesday night.  Coach Juan Garcia and his Falcons are in the midst of rebuilding their program and could only field two varsity wrestlers. The distant future is much brighter for the Falcons as the junior high program looks to be progressing in the right direction. With bigger numbers and more, competitive wrestlers Salisbury, as a team, will become relevant in a couple more years.  Nonetheless, it was a Panther parade to the scorer's table.

St. Luke’s University Health Network President and CEO Richard A. Anderson received The Boy Scouts of America Minsi Trails Council’s 2017 Good Scout Award.

Panther Pregame Football Focus: Saucon Valley v. Allentown Central Catholic (Brought to You by Braveheart Highland Pub)

The post-season begins on Saturday night for the No. 3 seeded Saucon Valley Panthers as they travel to Muhlenberg College to mix it up with the No. 2  Allentown Central Catholic Vikings in the PIAA District XI AAAA semifinal.  On the other side of the bracket, No. 1 Bethlehem Catholic Golden Hawks take on the No. 4 Pottsville Crimson Tide.   A win will keep the season alive for these competitors while a loss brings about the end of the 2017 season.

Michael Chaffier, a member of Boy Scout Troop 416 of Hellertown, has earned the rank of Eagle Scout.

Lower Saucon Teen Earns Rank of Eagle Scout

Benjamin J. Szydlow, a member of Boy Scout Troop #364 in Coopersburg and a resident of Saucon Valley, recently attained the rank of Eagle Scout, which is the highest rank the Boy Scouts offers.
