The group spent a week providing refresher training to Liberian nurses in the healthcare basics and donating much-needed equipment that will help them take care of patients in the country's struggling health care system.
St. Luke’s International Medical Aid Program Celebrating 10th Anniversary
A fundraising event to benefit the St. Luke’s International Medicine Program (SLIMP) is planned for Tuesday, March 26, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Lost Tavern Brewing, 782 Main St., Hellertown. Food trucks, live music and a silent auction of African masks, paintings and other memorabilia will raise funds for the program.
