Bridget Kidd Joins NMIH Board of Directors

Kidd has served in senior leadership roles at both the Propane Council and the Propane Education & Research Council (PERC), where she is currently Chief Operating Officer. Prior to that, she served in a variety of roles at building-related trade associations, according to her biography shared by museum officials.

National Museum of Industrial History Volunteer Receives Award

The National Museum of Industrial History recently announced that volunteer Anne Evans was honored with a 2022 Northampton County Outstanding Seniors Award on June 2. Presented by the Advisory Council of the Northampton County Area Agency on Aging, the award honors individuals who have contributed their time and talents for the benefit of others in the community through outreach, personal action, inspiration, public service, sports/educational efforts and civic humanitarian endeavors.

Bethlehem Steel’s Last Moments to be Celebrated at ‘Last Cast 25’

On Nov. 18, 1995, the iconic blast furnaces and the basic oxygen furnace at Bethlehem Steel’s South Bethlehem plant produced iron and steel for the last time. This Saturday's Last Cast 25 event will offer local history buffs the chance to relive the iconic steel plant's final hours.
