Snow Could Impact Wednesday Evening Commute

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Travel on Wednesday could become tricky, especially later in the day, as snow is expected to develop across the greater Lehigh Valley area.

According to a hazardous weather outlook issued Tuesday by the National Weather Service:

“A period of accumulating snow is expected to across much of the region Wednesday and Wednesday night. There should be some mixed precipitation for a time, mainly south and east of Philadelphia. While there still remains some uncertainty on where the axis of greatest snow accumulation occurs, a significant impact on the Wednesday evening commute may occur.”

As of Monday night, Lehigh Valley Weather Authority predicted that 2 to 4 inches of snow would accumulate in our area.

According to Accuweather, “a major winter storm will not develop, but enough snow to cause headaches for travelers will fall. Motorists should prepare for roads to turn slippery, while airline passengers may be faced with delays.”

Accuweather predicts snowfall totals for the Lehigh Valley in the 1 to 3 inch range.
