Traffic Stop Leads to Drug Arrest, Hellertown Police Say

A Jan. 20 traffic stop in the 100 block of Front Street that was initiated because a “known wanted” man was observed in a car’s passenger seat has led to drug-related charges being filed against the driver of the vehicle, Hellertown Police say.

A Jan. 20 traffic stop in the 100 block of Front Street that was initiated because a “known wanted” man was observed in a car’s passenger seat has led to drug-related charges being filed against the driver of the vehicle, Hellertown Police say.

In a news release issued Wednesday, police said Jose E. Rodriguez-Santos, 38, of the 1700 block of Barrett Drive, Bethlehem, has been charged with DUI-Controlled Substance, possession of a small amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, following an investigation.

Police did not identify the wanted man in the news release.
