A customer’s iPod was stolen from a township thrift store Wednesday, and the man suspected of the theft was captured on surveillance footage, Lower Saucon Township Police said in a news release posted on Facebook Thursday morning.
According to police, officers were dispatched to American Family Thrift Store, 1804 Leithsville Road, at about 5 p.m. for the reported theft.
“Officers were informed by the victim that their son’s iPod was stolen,” police said. “(The) victim further stated that after discovering the iPod missing and going back to the location they last saw it, they could not locate it.”
Video surveillance images released by police show a large white man with a beard “bend down and pick up the iPod and subsequently put it in his pocket,” police said.
Lower Saucon Township Police are seeking help in identifying the man in the store surveillance photos.
