Blanche “Betty” (Genth) Carson, 92, of Hellertown, died Thursday, Sept. 1, 2016 at her residence.betty carson She was the wife of the late William H. “Bill” Carson Jr., who died March 3, 1998. She was born in Lansdale on June 27, 1924 to the late William W. and Blanche C. (Cooper) Genth. She and her late husband, Bill, owned and operated the former Carson’s Hardware, Hellertown, for 47 years until retiring. She was a member of First United Church of Christ, Hellertown.

SURVIVORS

Loving children: Donna C. (A. Joseph) Olah of Lititz, Minga C. (John A.) Ferencin,  Mark K. (Debra A.) Carson, all of Hellertown; siblings: Molly Pavlichko of Jupiter, Fla., Christine Richhart of Lansdale; grandchildren: Jonathan (Janelle) Olah, Karin Olah (Craig) Knowlton, Rebecca (James) Rosenberger, Christopher  Carson, Kimberly (Matt) Pfeiffer; eight great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by sisters: Shirley Wambold, Carol Doran.

SERVICE

Family and friends are invited to call from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 4, 2016 and 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at the Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., 326 Main St., Hellertown. The calling hour Monday will be followed by the service at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Richard L. Teitsworth officiating. The interment will conclude services at Union Cemetery of Hellertown.
