A modest winter storm could bring one to two inches of snow to the Saucon Valley area Thursday night, the National Weather Service said in a hazardous weather outlook Wednesday.

The snow is most likely between 1 an 5 a.m. (when there is a 60 percent chance of precipitation), and could lead to slippery conditions for the Friday morning commute, the statement said.

Skies are forecast to clear Friday, but temperatures will be much colder than they have been over the past couple weeks.

Friday’s high is only forecast to hit the freezing mark, and Saturday local highs will be in the upper 20s, according to the latest NWS forecast for the Lehigh Valley.
