A Hellertown woman who was arrested on drug charges Monday is facing additional charges after police say she allegedly kicked a stool at a Wilson Borough detective and attempted to head-butt him several times.

A Hellertown woman arrested on drug charges Monday is facing additional charges after police say she allegedly kicked a stool at a Wilson Borough detective and attempted to head-butt him several times while handcuffed and in police custody during an intake-related search he was assisting with, Lehigh Valley Live reported.

Theresa A. Bowen, 48, of the 400 block of Main Street, was arrested on charges stemming from an April 6 search of her home in which borough police say they found her in bed with a bag of suspected crystal methamphetamine, the article says.

Bowen is now charged with manufacturing, delivery or possession with intent to deliver narcotics; possession of drug paraphernalia; resisting arrest; and disorderly conduct, according to court records.

She was committed to Northampton County Prison in lieu of $150,000 bail following a preliminary arraignment before Judge Jacqueline Taschner Monday, the records state.
