Curb Jump by BMW Leads to 10 Pound Pot Bust, Police Say

A minor accident in which a driver jumped a curb on Main Street in Hellertown Tuesday subsequently led to the discovery of nearly 10 pounds of marijuana inside the vehicle, authorities say.

A minor accident in which the driver of a BMW reportedly jumped a curb on Main Street in Hellertown Tuesday and then backed off the sidewalk back onto the street subsequently led to the discovery by police of nearly 10 pounds of marijuana inside the vehicle as well as the arrest of the car’s driver and passenger on related charges, Lehigh Valley Live reported Wednesday.

According to the article published by Lehigh Valley Live, which cites court records, Monsoor Sultani, 29, and Fawad Anwari, 25, both of Hanover Township, Northampton County, are both charged with possession with intent to deliver marijuana, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

According to court records, Anwari is incarcerated at Northampton County Prison in lieu of 10 percent of $50,000 bail and according to the Lehigh Valley Live article Sultani is free after posting $50,000 bail.
