Man Took Photos Under ‘Unsuspecting’ Woman’s Skirt, Police Say

A Springfield Township man is charged with invasion of privacy and disorderly conduct after Hellertown Police say he allegedly took clandestine photos under a woman’s skirt at the Dewey Fire Co. Carnival in July.

A Springfield Township man is charged with third-degree misdemeanor invasion of privacy and disorderly conduct after Hellertown Police say he allegedly took clandestine photos under a woman’s skirt using a cell phone at the annual Dewey Fire Co. Carnival in July.

In a news release issued Tuesday, police said John K. Roth, 54, of the 3000 block of Rt. 212, Springtown, was at the carnival in Dimmick Park at around 9 p.m. July 20 when officers received “a report of a male repeatedly placing his phone under the skirt of an unsuspecting female.”

Police said Roth’s phone was seized and analyzed after a search warrant -was obtained, which led to the charges being filed in Northampton County District Court 03-2-04.
