Lower Saucon Township Police are reminding residents of the township to remove their car keys from their vehicles and lock them before leaving them unattended, after a number of unlocked vehicles were entered over the weekend.

One of the entered cars was stolen from the 2700 block of Deer Run Road, police said in a post on their Crimewatch site Monday, and as of Monday afternoon had not been recovered.

Police explained that their investigation into the rash of break-ins began after they recovered a stolen car from Allentown in the township at 4:26 a.m. Sunday, close to the area where the township resident’s car was stolen.

Police said the stolen car was found on Meadow Ridge Court, which is a street that intersects with Deer Run Road.

Other unlocked vehicles that were entered were parked in the 2000 block of Dennis Lane, the 2000 block of Pheasant Court and the 3600 block of Hickory Hill Road, police said, adding that there was also an attempted burglary of a garage in the 2600 block of Redington Road and an attempted burglary of a business–Loco Motion Auto–in the 2100 block of Riverside Drive the same night.

The attempted burglaries happened on the other side of the township.

“Please remember to remove keys and valuables from your vehicles and lock your doors,” police reminded everyone.

Anyone who may have seen anything suspicious or who has surveillance cameras in the areas that were targeted is asked to contact Lower Saucon Township Police at 610-317-6110.
