A Philadelphia woman is charged with DUI after police say she allegedly caused a single vehicle accident in the 3600 block of Lower Saucon Road as a result of driving while intoxicated last month.

In a post on their Crimewatch site Thursday, Lower Saucon Township Police said Charlene E. Anderson, 46, crashed down an embankment on Sept. 12.

Police said that while an officer was speaking with Anderson after the crash she was allegedly unable to maintain her balance and subsequently failed field coordination exercises.

According to police, Anderson was determined to have a blood alcohol concentration (BAC) of .22 percent, which is nearly three times the maximum legal limit of .08 percent.
