Roy Alan Zimpfer (1953 – 2025)
Roy Alan Zimpfer, 71, of East Allen Township, died Sunday, Jan. 12, 2025 at his residence.
Roy was born in Allentown, Pa., on Dec. 25, 1953 to the late Robert F. Sr. and June V. (Thatcher) Zimpfer. He served our country faithfully in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War as an Airborne Paratrooper. Roy was a handyman by trade. With a great passion for flowers and plants, he ended his career managing the Lawn and Garden Department at Walmart. Roy was a true, avid outdoorsman and was a minimalist.
SURVIVORS
Roy is survived by his daughter: Heather Machemer of Hellertown; siblings: Michele L. Bean of Allentown, Wally C. (Stacy) of Hellertown, Renee S. (Roark) Gover of Northampton; four grandchildren: Cody and Casey Machemer, Elias and Oscar Zimpfer. He was predeceased by son: Adam R. Zimpfer; two great-granddaughters; brothers: Robert F. Jr. and Glen A. “Lump” Zimpfer.
