A calm afternoon briefly turned chaotic at the Promenade Saucon Valley Wednesday, when the driver of a car jumped the curb and plowed into the front window of the American Eagle store there.

Upper Saucon Township Volunteer Fire Department officials shared photos and information about the incident in a Facebook post, in which they said there were no injuries to either the driver or anyone at the shopping center.

The front of the store, however, appeared to have sustained a considerable amount of damage. The store was temporarily closed while damage to it was being assessed.
