A Bethlehem resident was cited for an alleged stop sign violation, after Lower Saucon Township Police say she ran a stop sign at the intersection of Old Philadelphia Pike and Seidersville Road Wednesday afternoon.

In a news release issued Friday, police said Xiaoxiao Zhang, 22, of the first block of Campus Square, was eastbound on Seidersville at 3:09 p.m. when she allegedly ran the stop sign and struck a LifePath wheelchair van that was proceeding through the intersection.

Police did not say whether the township-based van was transporting anyone at the time.

Zhang went to a local hospital to be checked for a possible minor injury, they said.
