Hellertown Police are investigating a hit-and-run accident they say occurred at Main and High streets at 10:10 p.m. Feb. 1.

In a news release issued Monday, police said the accident involved a silver Nissan Murano that struck an occupied vehicle at the intersection.
Police said the driver of the Murano “caused significant damage” to the victim’s vehicle before fleeing north on Main Street.
Witnesses believe the Murano then turned onto I-78 East, police said.
The Murano should have heavy front-end damage.
