Lower Saucon Township Police said Tuesday that a Bethlehem man will be cited for leaving the scene of an accident after he allegedly left his disabled vehicle on Lower Saucon Road just north of Easton Road following an accident Sunday at about 9:45 p.m.

In a news release, police said Donald Niquette, of the first block of W. Union Boulevard, left the 2002 Chevy Silverado in the roadway at about 9:45 p.m. to walk home–a distance of more than seven miles.

They added that they were called to the scene to investigate a report of a suspicious vehicle “with nobody around it.”

Police said Niquette will also be cited for driving on a suspended license, failing to notify police of an accident and abandoning a vehicle on a roadway.
