Erwin J. “EJ, Arnie, Chunky” Arnold II, 69 of North Whitehall Township died Sunday, Aug. 23, 2015 at his residence. He was the husband of Barbara Ann (Laubach) Arnold. He was born in Hellertown on March 31, 1946 to the late Erwin J. and Mildred J. (Seifert) Arnold. Erwin was a 1964 graduate of Liberty High School Vocational Department. He worked for A.P. Houser, Emmaus as a carpenter for 26 years, retiring in 2006. Erwin served his country honorably during the Vietnam War in the U.S. Navy Seabees. He enjoyed the outdoors, family camping and hunting trips with his son.

In addition to his loving wife of 48 years; siblings: Wendy A. (Bryan J.) Sparks of Garnet Valley, Kimberly L. (Andrew R.) George of New Tripoli, Scott B. (Jennifer L.) of Slatington; brother: Theodore F. Arnold of Bethlehem; sister: Helen A. (David) Buchanan of Bath; five-plus grandchildren. He was predeceased by a daughter: Nicole; and a sister: Sylvia M. Klotz.
SERVICE
Family and friends are invited to call from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 27, 2015 at the Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., 326 Main St., Hellertown.
