A man who was barefoot, handcuffed and in the process of being arrested on a domestic charge escaped from Hellertown Police in the borough’s north end near I-78, prompting a search of the area by borough, Lower Saucon Township and Bethlehem officers Thursday night and a be-on-the-lookout request to Pennsylvania State Police, according to an article published by the Morning Call which cites scanner reports.

The man is described as blond, blue-eyed and wearing a red or black shirt and blue jeans according to the story, which says police were searching along both sides of the highway overpass and focusing on the Saucon Park area as of early Thursday evening.
