It wasn’t about win or lose when a group of Saucon Valley teachers and alumni took to the basketball court to play against the Harlem Wizards in a charity game to benefit the Saucon Valley Parent-Teacher Organization Saturday. The goal of the day was family fun–and that was the result of an afternoon that was filled with alley-oops, on-court antics and lots of laughs.

There was also a basket raffle, teacher cheerleaders and surprise local celebrity appearances, such as by game referee, Hellertown mayor David Heintzelman.
“It was extremely profitable and we are grateful to everyone that came to support the PTO, teachers, and especially the kids!” PTO president Lynn Beller said.
The goal of the day was family fun, and that was certainly the end result of an afternoon that was filled with alley-oops, on-court antics and lots of laughs.

There was plenty of fun for kids on the basketball court, led by the Wizards!

The bleachers were nearly filled to capacity for the Wizards game–a very popular fundraiser for the SVES PTO.
