Lower Saucon Township Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a woman who is alleged to have stolen a black kitten from a local pet supply store.

In a post on the department’s Crimewatch website Thursday police said that on Sunday, Aug. 19 at approximately 3 p.m. the woman and two young children who were with her entered Pet Valu at 1854 Leithsville Road. The store is located in the Creekside Marketplace shopping center.

“It is alleged the female stole a black kitten and various products,” police said in their post, which is accompanied by store surveillance photos in which the woman can be seen holding a black kitten.

The woman is described as white and middle-aged.

Anyone with information about her identity and/or the whereabouts of the kitten is asked to contact the Lower Saucon Township Police Department via the Crimewatch site’s tip submission form or the Northampton County non-emergency line (610-759-2200).
