Week XII Krunch Time: Harka Catches A Tiger (Brought to You by The Waldheim Beethoven Club)

With their semifinal victory over the Northwestern Lehigh Tigers on Saturday night, the Saucon Valley Panthers improved to a 10-2 record and will now advance to the District XI championship game for the fifth consecutive season.  It was another great night for Panther Nation with many highlight-type plays.  This week, Saucon Source brings you this Krunch Time! defensive dandy courtesy of Panther defensive tackle Jared Harka!

Panther Pregame Football Focus: Saucon v. Northwestern Lehigh

As was expected by most, the Saucon Valley Panthers dismissed the Lehighton Indians in the District XI 4A quarterfinals last week. This week, however, the Panthers (9-2) are preparing for a much more rigorous challenge in their rematch with the Northwestern Lehigh Tigers (9-2).

FC Steel: State of the Steel X (Sponsored)

FC Steel, a youth soccer organization that is headquartered in Saucon Valley, had their teams back in action over the weekend.  Both FC Steel boys' and girls' teams are participating in the prestigious Eastern Development Program (EDP) this year.  The EDP league is an ultra-competitive travel soccer league that arranges for high-level teams to compete against one another on a routine basis. The EDP league is a regional league meaning teams can expect to play other quality teams that are located in Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware.

Panthers Trample Indians in District XI Quarterfinal (Brought to You by Cafe Erica)

Saucon Valley entered Saturday night's District XI 4A quarterfinal against Lehighton as the #2 seed.  The Panthers (8-2) were a heavy favorite against the Indians (4-6).  The contest was tight early, but as the game unfolded the Panthers pulled away for a 56-26 victory.

Panther Play of the Week: Mahaffey Hits Csencsits in Traffic (Brought to You by Hellertown Bakery)

On Saturday night with their victory over the Lehighton Indians, Saucon Valley advanced into the District XI semifinals. The Panthers got off to a great start and never looked back.  No doubt, with 56 Panther points put on the scoreboard, there were many great plays throughout the game to choose from for this week's Panther Play of the Week.

Panther Pregame Football Focus: Saucon v. Lehighton (Brought to You by Vassi’s Drive-In)

With last week's victory over Colonial league rival Palisades to conclude the regular season, Saucon Valley (8-2) was able to secure the #2 seed in the PIAA District XI 4A tournament. Saturday night, the Panthers will play host to the visiting Lehighton Indians (4-6) who are members of the Schuylkill League.  It has been a long time since Saucon Valley high school football has hosted a District XI playoff game.  If the Jungle is a rockin', don't bother knockin'.  Just c'mon in and cheer the Panthers to victory!

Panther Play of the Week: Sizzler Pounds the Pirates (Brought to You by Hellertown Bakery)

On Friday night with their victory over the Palisades Pirates, Saucon Valley was able to snap a two-game losing streak. The Panthers, including the area's leading rusher Ian Csicsek, played all four quarters against the Pirates to seal the win.  Csicsek had another monster night carrying the football and finds himself as the focus of this week's Panther Play of the Week.

Week Ten Krunch Time: Punter’s Revenge (Brought to You by The Waldheim Beethoven Club)

The Panthers improved to an 8-2 record on Friday night with a victory over the Palisades Pirates in their Colonial League finale.  It was a tough game with many bone-crunching plays.  This week, Saucon Source gives you some special-teams Krunch Time! action courtesy of Panther punter Patrick Morrissey.
