Francis Victor Torgerson, 77, of Springfield Township, formerly of Holliston, Mass., died Dec. 5, 2014 at his residence, surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Liz (Liegel).

He was born in Richland Center, Wisc., on Oct. 29, 1937 to the late Victor and Gertrude (Wallace) Torgerson. Fran earned his Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Wisconsin. He was the Vice President of Operations for H.P. Hood, Boston, for 26 years and remained with the company as a consultant to the board of directors. Prior to H.P. Hood he held the position of VP of Operations at Lehigh Valley Dairy. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Ottsville. Fran served as the financial secretary for Fr. Stommel Council #4545 Knights of Columbus, Ottsville. He was actively involved in volunteering in the communities in which he lived. He cherished spending time with his family.

SURVIVORS

In addition to his loving wife of 53 years, Liz; children: Kristianne Chattin (Carlos Knight) of Downingtown, Eric Torgerson (Triciapam) of Hellertown, Rachael Tubiello (Shawn) of Springtown and Heidi Torgerson (Brent Schadler) of Barto; brother: LaVerne Torgerson  (Delores) of Lacrosse, Wisc.; grandchildren: Shawn, Sam, Kelsey, Madeleine, Jack, Ben, Justin, Alex and Elliott.

SERVICE

Family and friends are invited to call from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 11, 2014 at the Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., 326 Main St., Hellertown, and 11 a.m. to noon Friday at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, 4050 Durham Road, Ottsville. The Friday calling hour at the church will be followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at noon. The interment will conclude services at St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Ottsville. CONTRIBUTIONS

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the church–payable to St. John’s Garden Club–for the construction of an infinity fountain.
