Car Damaged in Parking Lot Hit-and-Run, Police Say

Lower Saucon Township Police are investigating a March 12 hit-and-run accident they said occurred in the parking lot of Yianni’s Taverna, 3760 Old Philadelphia Pike.

In a news release issued Monday, police said a vehicle that was parked in the lot next to Old Philadelphia Pike was struck during a charity event at the restaurant.

“The vehicle sustained damage to the right side–specifically the rear door,” police said, adding that the contact markings and paint transfer were significant with having been caused by a white SUV the vehicle owner said was parked next to him.

Police are reviewing surveillence footage from the restaurant, and are asking anyone with information about the accident to contact them at 610-317-6110.
