Lower Saucon Township Police say a Bethlehem man was cited for careless driving after he allegedly fell asleep while driving on College Drive Saturday morning.

In a news release issued Monday, police said that at 9:43 a.m. Benjamin Rosado, of the 1800 block of Lynfield Drive, was eastbound when he crossed over the westbound lane of the road and struck both a chainlink fence and a tree.

In addition to careless driving, police said Rosado was also cited for driving with a DUI-related suspended driver’s license.
