The conspicuous loading of “multiple cases of beer” into a vehicle in the 2300 block of Silver Creek Road Friday night landed a Massachusetts teen in hot water on the eve of his 20th birthday, according to Lower Saucon Township Police.

In a news release issued Monday, police said Spencer Lehrer, 19, of the first block of Bruce Road, Winchester, Mass., was observed loading the beer with two other young men shortly after 8 p.m.

Lehrer’s birthday is Nov. 7, according to the news release.

An officer stopped to verify the ages of the men and learned that Lehrer had “used a false ID to make the alcohol purchase,” the news release stated.

Police said Lehrer was charged with making an underage purchase of alcohol and the beer was confiscated.
