It will soon be time to “spring forward” and lose an hour, with the change to Daylight Saving Time (DST) for 2016.
When exactly will that happen?
This year the change to DST will be at 2 a.m. on Sunday, March 13.
So before you go to bed on Saturday, March 12, you should set your clocks an hour ahead. It will also be a good time to check the batteries in your smoke detectors, to make sure they are working properly.
After the change to DST you’ll be able to enjoy an extra hour of daylight in the evening.
Daylight Saving Time won’t end until 2 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 6, 2016, when it will be time to “fall back” and gain an hour. And check the smoke detector batteries again.
