A car accident on Rt. 378 near Black River Road Friday morning was the result of careless driving, Lower Saucon Township Police said in a news release Saturday.

A car accident on Rt. 378 near Black River Road Friday morning was the result of careless driving, Lower Saucon Township Police said in a news release Saturday.

According to police, Victor Estremera, of the 1300 block of E. Highland Street, Allentown, was southbound on Rt. 378 when he allegedly caused the crash by passing a vehicle that had stopped to allow another vehicle to exit a business.

“(Estremera) passed the vehicle on the left in the median, striking the vehicle as it was pulling out of the business,” police said.

“Both vehicles had to be towed from the scene,” they added.

Estremera was cited for careless driving following the 9 a.m. accident, police said.
