The 2016 Dewey Fire Co. Carnival will be held in Dimmick Park, Hellertown, nightly from Tuesday, July 12 to Saturday, July 16, and for the 101st time in its history the event will provide local families with many opportunities for fun.

In addition to rides, games of chance and food vendors, the carnival–which is run by Good Time Amusements–will feature fireworks on Friday night, July 15 at 10 p.m. (rain date: Saturday, July 16).
The carnival will be open nightly from 6 to 10 p.m., with one price ($20) ride special (“wristband”) nights from 6 to 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
On Wednesday night there will be a car show along with a performance by the band Desire, according to a post on the Facebook event for the carnival.
Proceeds from the annual carnival benefit the volunteer fire company, which was founded in 1898 and has sponsored a carnival in Hellertown for more than a century.
Dewey Fire Company is located at 502 Durham St., Hellertown, next to the park.
