Are you looking to get rid of e-clutter, i.e. old electronics that you no longer use? Most items can no longer be disposed of in the garbage, which is why electronics recycling events have become the norm in recent years.
Typically only a few of these events are held in the Hellertown area each year.
The next one, sponsored by the Northampton County Department of Economic Development, will be held Saturday, Sept. 10 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Memorial Pool/Bethlehem Municipal Skating Rink complex, 345 Illick’s Mill Road, Bethlehem.
The event is open to Northampton County residents only, with proof of residency required. Cash or check will be accepted as forms of payment.
One week later, on Saturday, Sept. 17, the Northampton County DCED will sponsor another e-cycling event for county residents at 500 Bushkill Drive, Easton, from 9 a.m. to noon.
An additional e-cycling event is planned in the Slate Belt area in October (details have yet to be announced).
