A Saucon Valley resident took home a shiny statuette following the 34th Annual Mid-Atlantic Regional Emmy Awards in Philadelphia Friday.
Liz Keptner of Lower Saucon Township was a member of the production team for the program “Nazareth: Resonating Through Time,” which was nominated in the Magazine Program/Special category.
Keptner currently works for Penn State Lehigh Valley as the director of the school’s Multimedia Innovation Center in Center Valley. She is also the owner of LK Consulting, which specializes in mass media, public relations and marketing consulting. In the past she has worked as an anchor/reporter for several television stations, including KYW-TV and CBS 3, both in Philadelphia.
Also taking home awards for the production were producer Paul Luongo, writer Casey Feinberg, director Julia Urich, director of photography Rocky Urich, associate editor Carlo Acerra and Associate Producer Hillary Carrigan.
Rocky Urich, who owns the Emmaus-based video production company FireRock Productions that produced “Nazareth: Resonating Through Time” with his wife Julia, also won an Emmy for Craft Achievement in photography.
FireRock Productions has been nominated for Emmy awards 19 times, and had won five times prior to this year, according to a news release from the company.
