It was a great team effort that led to the Panthers’ 3-Peat Colonial League championship victory over the Palisades Pirates on Friday night. So we feel it is certainly MORE than fitting that this Panther play of the week spread the wealth to recognize the fantastic teamwork that was necessary to pull this incredible play off. All the moving parts had to improvise and turn a busted play into one that was positive…very positive.
On 3rd & 17 the Panther offense called for a screen pass to Zach “Lightning” Petiet toward the Panther sideline. But, a Palisades defender was seemingly the wiser. With a little patience, poise and discipline, however, the Panthers pulled it off anyway.

QB Brandon Holub did a great job by using his feet to buy more time. A great job was also turned in by Zach Petiet, who alertly turned up field when he saw the play was busted. And the Hogs did a great job by NOT getting across the line of scrimmage and downfield, which would have led to a penalty. Lastly, to the receivers who were hustling with their downfield blocks–great job!
It was a great team effort all around!
Great job Panthers! The Source is with you!
