Woman Purposely Damaged Washer, Dryer Before Moving Out of Home, Police Say

Lower Saucon Township Police Tuesday said a woman who now lives in Lansford, Carbon County, has been charged with criminal mischief for allegedly damaging a washer and dryer in a home she was living in in the 1900 block of Skibo Road.

Lower Saucon Township Police Tuesday said a woman who now lives in Lansford, Carbon County, will be charged with criminal mischief for allegedly damaging a washer and dryer in a home she was living in in the 1900 block of Skibo Road.

In a news release police said Anna Gerstenberg, 36, of the 100 block of E. Snyder Avenue, Lansford, “damaged both appliances before moving out of the home” recently.

The damage to the appliances is estimated at $200.

Police identified the victim and property owner as a Lower Saucon Township woman, who they said reported the damage to police March 1.
