Lower Saucon Township Police say they are investigating a possible attempted child luring that occurred on Lower Saucon Road at Morning Lane Wednesday.

Morning Lane is located between Apple Street and Alpine Drive.

In a news release and separate Facebook post, police said it was reported that shortly after 3 p.m. an “Asian male with black bushy hair” and wearing a blue shirt and jeans approached a girl who was sitting by the roadside, waiting to be picked up by her mother after being dropped off by the school bus.

The man “spoke in a foreign language and motioned for the (girl) to come to the rear seat of the car,” police said, adding that at that point the girl “fled toward a neighbor’s house and the vehicle left the area (headed) north toward Easton Road.”

The man was driving a “junky” looking car, possibly in black primer, police said.

Anyone with information about this incident is urged to call township police at 610-317-6110.
