Elizabeth Audrey (O’Connor) Rafferty, 64, of Hanover Township, died Friday, June 2, 2017 as a result of an automobile accident. Audrey was born in Phillipsburg, N.J., on Oct. 13, 1952 to Oscar H. O’Connor and Elizabeth T. (Kilts) of Washington, N.J. She was the widow of Bernard J. Rafferty Sr. (died Dec. 28, 2011). She was a graduate of Easton Hospital and Moravian College, receiving the degree of RN-BSN. Audrey was a student at Moravian Theological Seminary. She was a nurse for the PA Department of Health, Easton, Northampton County. She worked previously as a surveyor in Lehigh, Philadelphia, Montgomery and Northampton counties for the PA Department of Health and for Visiting Nurses Association (VNA) of St. Luke’s for 10 years. She was a member of Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Colesville, Upper Saucon Township.

SURVIVORS

In addition to her parents: loving children: Andrea E. (Sean M.) Carney and their children, Michael John and Shannon E., of Yardley, Sara M. of Delray Beach, Fla., Bernard J. Jr. (Krista L.) and their children, Josephine E., Bernard K., Catherine L. and Benjamin J., of Spring Grove; siblings: Bridget M. Mazur of Easton, John M. (Deborah L.) O’Connor and their son: Ryan A. of Washington, N.J.

SERVICE

Family and friends are invited to call from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at the Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., 326 Main St., Hellertown. The service will be at 8:15 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home and will be followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. at the church, 4101 Old Philadelphia Pike, (Colesville) Bethlehem. The interment will conclude services at Union Cemetery of Hellertown. Online expressions of sympathy can be recorded at www.heintzelmancares.com.
