Lower Saucon Township Police say a convicted felon from Allentown is facing fresh charges after he was allegedly found in possession of drugs and a loaded handgun following a traffic stop on N. Mountain Drive Friday night.

Lower Saucon Township Police say a convicted felon from Allentown is facing fresh charges after he was allegedly found in possession of drugs and a loaded handgun following a traffic stop on N. Mountain Drive Friday night.

In a news release Saturday police said Christopher Delgado Jr., 31, of Franklin Street, Allentown, was stopped for an alleged traffic violation and subsequently found to be in possession of heroin, marijuana, approximately $1,300 in cash and the gun, which as a felon he is prohibited from possessing.

Police said Delgado was arrested, charged with felony drug and gun charges and incarcerated in Northampton County Prison.
