Senior Steven Rose earns the first 2017 Panther Play of the Week.

Saucon Valley senior, Steven Rose (#34), was called upon to carry the ball one time in the Panthers home season opener against the Bangor Slaters. Sure, he caught four passes for 51 yards and a touchdown. But, Rosey made the most of his rushing opportunity and turned that one touch into an exciting 51-yard touchdown.

Watch this clip as Rose goes in motion from the bottom to the top of the screen. He takes the well-timed handoff from Alstan Wolfe at almost full speed. Patrick Morrissey seals the edge from his tight-end position.  Then, Rose gets a two-for-one block by pulling guard Jared Harka (#61) and a couple of stalk blocks issued with great effort by receivers Ryan Holub (#13) and Chris Smith (#9). To make a fantastic play even more fantastic, quarterback Alstan Wolfe hustles down the field to make sure Rose picks up his six! Rose gets the headline, but it was a true team effort!

Great job Panthers, the Source is with you!
