Robert E. Lehr Sr., 85, formerly of Alburtis and Coopersburg, died Sunday, Aug. 19, 2018 at Devon House, Allentown. Arrangements are by the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Hellertown.

Robert E. Lehr Sr., 85, formerly of Alburtis and Coopersburg, died Sunday, Aug. 19, 2018 at Devon House, Allentown. Robert LehrHe was the husband of Althea M. (Urmy) Lehr. He was born in Allentown on Feb. 10, 1933 to the late Elmer R. and Lucretia P. (Appleton) Lehr. Robert served our country faithfully in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He owned and operated Robert E. Lehr Builders, Coopersburg, for many years until retiring. He was a member of Church of the Good Shepherd, Alburtis, and the American Legion Post 217, Topton.

SURVIVORS

In addition to his wife of 66 years; children: Debra L. wife of Lee R. Phillips of Allentown, Robert E. Lehr Jr. and his wife Donna M. of Zionsville; sisters: Emily A. Danner of East Texas, Marjorie Iley of Bethlehem, Betty Mai of Lower Macungie, Lucretia (Cookie) Kristofik and her husband Bud of Bethlehem, Carroll Miller of Glen Carbon, Ill.; 4 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by siblings: Ralph S., Raymond, Ronnie, Roger, Jean Donmoyer and Etta Miller.

SERVICE

Family and friends are invited to call from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 23, 2018 at The Church of the Good Shepherd, 135 Quarry Road Penn Avenue, Alburtis. The calling hour will be followed by the service at 11 a.m. The interment will conclude services at Lehigh Zion Cemetery, Lower Macungie Township.
